The Design Team
After studying together at The Catholic University of America, this group of post-graduate students recieved a generous research grant from DC Architect David M. Schwarz. This grant allowed them to continue work on a passion project that they had been developing alongside their individual Thesis designs.
The design effort was carried out over a period of 16 weeks, with the goal being to develop two different schemes that varied in the level of infrastructure change.
Coming from different backgrounds, philosophies, and locales, the team was unified by a common goal: solve the issue of how to sustainably develop new cultural spaces “on the mall.”
